Julianne Reddin

Julianne joined our Board in 2017 and was appointed Chair in 2019.  Strategy and Development Manager at Climate Group, she specialises in stakeholder engagement, fundraising and public affairs, with previous experience including roles at Imaginate, the University of Edinburgh Business School, Royal College of General Practitioners and Centre for the Moving Image (Edinburgh International Film Festival, Filmhouse Cinema and Belmont Filmhouse).

Katherine McNab

Until August 2018 Katherine was a Scottish Government Senior Policy Adviser, working in policy areas including Education, Public Health, Transport and Environment. As Education policy lead for Developing the Young Workforce programme, Katherine worked in collaboration with national education bodies, local authorities, employers and third sector orgs to ensure all young people have access to the skills and knowledge to prepare them for the world of work.

David Johnson

David was appointed as our Treasurer in August 2020. Currently the Financial Controller for Cricket Scotland, he previously worked for Scottish Rugby, Silberline and Christian Salvesen, bringing considerable experience of dealing with various financial situations to benefit SEE.

Elliot Linger

Elliott is Global Head of Portfolio and Audience Development at the LEGO Group. Formerly Senior Vice President at Universal Pictures with responsibility for marketing strategy, consumer research and data analytics for global film releases, overseeing marketing for billion-dollar movie franchises such as The Fast & The Furious, Despicable Me™ / Minions and Jurassic World, James Bond 007™, Mamma Mia!™ and Fifty Shades of Grey™. Elliott has worked in the entertainment sphere his entire career, spending six years at PlayStation prior to Universal Pictures where he managed the development of the The Last of Us™ and LittleBigPlanet™ franchises.

Sarah Drummond

Sarah is Managing Director and Executive Producer at LS Productions, leading its UK wide production service offering across commercials, TV episodes, film, music videos and fashion. She is driven to create opportunities for new entrants into the industry, and support those already working industry-wide. Starting at our org as a YTS trainee in the early 90's, her career has seen her film work premiere at the Berlinale and EIFF, and a BAFTA New Talent Award for her role producing our film Mum’s Birthday.

Wendy Griffin

Wendy has extensive experience as a film and TV line producer, including films from Andrea Arnold, David Mackenzie, Annie Griffin, Paddy Considine and Scott Graham. As a film producer she has overseen films such as improvised feature Wasted with Raindog, indie rom-com Not Another Happy Ending with Synchronicity Films, music documentary and EIFF audience winner Big Gold Dream, and EIFF first feature winner and Netflix hit Calibre. First engaging with our org in the 90's overseeing short film scheme production, Wendy is passionate about working with diverse voices and new talent, particularly female, both in front of and behind the camera and is a strong advocate for grass roots training within the industry.

Christina Hinds

Christina is a Development Worker at Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations Council, with specialist knowledge of governance, charity law, funding and community/organisational development. Working with a range of voluntary sector organisations across Edinburgh, Christina supports them at various stages in their development, from initial set up, to transitioning through organisational change.

Nicola Kettlewood

Nicola has worked in film exhibition and film education for over two decades at key organisations including Macrobert Arts Centre, Glasgow Film Theatre and BFI Film Distribution, and is passionate about encouraging diverse audiences to engage with cinema, and in developing filmmaking skills in young people. Previously Deputy Artistic Director of Edinburgh International Film Festival, Head of Education and Learning at EIFF and Filmhouse Cinema, and Producer of Hippodrome Silent Film Festival, Nicola is currently Manager of Film Hub Scotland.

Louise Mackenzie

Louise is an artist filmmaker and curator, with over a decade in experience in consulting and project management. As founder of interdisciplinary pop-up cinema Black Box, and co-creator of Loose Connections, online filmmaking for the technologically challenged, she is passionate about extending film to new audiences. A member of the Cultural Negotiation of Science research group, Northumbria University, she holds a PhD in Fine Art from BxNU Institute of Contemporary Art. Exhibiting nationally and internationally, Louise's work explores material connections with scientific culture, including Lively Material, Zone of Inhibition and The Stars Beneath our Feet.

Julie MacLeod

Julie has been a Technical Operator within the Scottish Parliament's broadcast team for over a decade. Formerly a sound assistant on short films, commercials and tv drama's such as Shoebox Zoo, she is passionate about the development of people from all backgrounds through accessible moving image training, and a strong advocate for the work of SEE, with her career beginning at the org as an Assistant Producer on our short film schemes.

Alistair Scott

Expand

Alistair is Associate Professor of Film and Television at Edinburgh Napier University. After working on community arts projects he was a postgraduate student at the National Film & TV School in the 1980s, and then worked as a Producer and Director in broadcast television. He has made documentaries with local communities for over 30 years from Leithers (Channel 4, 1988) to Raploch Stories: Where are they now? (BBC, 2017). In 2005 he moved to teach in higher education.

Jared Taylor

Jared is Programme Director of the award winning Animation Department at Edinburgh College of Art, part of the University of Edinburgh. Jared has trained animators in Edinburgh and London for the last 17 years. His teaching career began on the shoulders of a 10 year involvement in video games. He has worked as a designer and producer, coordinating projects developed by independent games studios based in the UK for large international clients including LEGO, Nokia. Nintendo (NCL), Square-Enix, Konami, Sony (SCEE) and Philips Media. He has also directed the world’s largest multi camera rotoscope shoot at the Roundhouse in London.
