We are excited to announce we are delivering a Summer School for Teachers as part of a GTCS accredited programme with a focus on practical filmmaking. There are 40 places on the programme, to be split between Primary and Secondary school teachers. This professional development course will run for two weeks from 29 July to 9 August, Monday to Friday. Screen Education Edinburgh will lead on the delivery of the course hosted by Forth Valley College at their Stirling Campus, using filmmaking to develop the teaching practice of up to 40 Primary and Secondary school teachers.

The course is made possible by support from Screen Scotland and Education Scotland and forms part of Screen Scotland’s work in testing the draft Film and Screen curriculum. Teachers engaging with this summer school would also be eligible to continue to study for a new PG Cert in Film and Screen Education.
