Our Edinburgh HETV Inspire Sessions wrapped up in March. Funded by Film Edinburgh and Screen Skills High-End TV Skills Fund, the programme aimed to inspire high school pupils to consider a career in High-End TV.

Industry professionals living and working in the Edinburgh region worked with our team to develop hands on workshops focused on their various job roles across production and craft departments, with these delivered as part of workshop and info sessions, including insight into Screen Skills' resources, careers pathways, and programmes here at SEE.

Roles and departments featured included art department assistant, propmaker, 2nd AD, production coordinator, art director, assistant location manager, scenic art and paint department, costume department, and production runner.

With sessions at 20 Edinburgh high schools and 1 special school, 311 pupils took part, with 89% reporting they'd consider a career in the industry after engaging on the programme.
