Join Museum & Galleries Edinburgh for a special screening of ‘Made in North Edinburgh’ on Wednesday the 8th of February 2023 at 2:00pm.

Screen Education Edinburgh partnered with the Guardian to tell the story of the community in North Edinburgh, an area often portrayed in the media for crime and anti-social behaviour only, and their fight post-pandemic to bring back their much-loved festival in spring 2022.

Part of the Guardian’s Made in Britain series, local people engaged with SEE's own filmmaker Jenny Souter and the Guardian’s John Domokos to tell the real story of an area filled with passion, positivity, and heart, where despite ever-widening inequality people care about each other and their community, with the film highlighting the importance of connection, recovery, and never giving up.

At the event, Jenny will discuss the process of making the film and its impact after the screening.

The tickets for this screening are FREE but booking is essential. While Museum & Galleries Edinburgh hope to run this event in the City Art Centre, they may have to adapt to the situation at the time and the event may need to move to digital.

You can book your tickets via the link here or by phoning the City Art Centre on 0131 529 3993.
