Moving Image Arts 2021-22 Open for Applications

We are very happy to announce that we are now accepting applications to our Moving Image Arts programme for 2021-22.

Moving Image Arts (MIA) is an AS level qualification that looks in depth at film technique and history, with each learner applying this to produce their own short film.

Running from week beginning 20th September 2021 until June 2022, the course is free and open to young people aged 16 to 25 in Edinburgh, the Lothians, and Fife with a passion for film, no matter their background or previous experience.

BFI Film Academy Craft Skills

On our BFI Film Academy Craft Skills Residential course, learners receive intensive learning in screenwriting, cinematography, sound, directing, production and editing, engage in industry masterclasses, and produce a short film. Applications for the summer 2023 course are now closed.
