Graham Fitzpatrick

Development officer

Expand

Graham's responsible for the management of SEE including staff, funding, org development, programme development, the org's productions, and stakeholder engagement. First joining the org as a YTS trainee in the early 90's, he has accrued considerable experience in filmmaking, talent development and film education, and delivered a wide slate of short film, documentaries, TV programmes and client productions. As a filmmaker Graham’s work has screened worldwide, winning film festival and BAFTA Scotland awards, and he holds a PG Cert with distinction in Screenwriting from Screen Academy Scotland.

Jo Johnstone

Administrator

Expand

As our Administrator, Jo's responsible for supporting the SEE team, learners, partners and members of the public, keeping our premises in order, and overseeing administration of the org. Jo previously participated in several of our programmes as a young learner, including BFI Film Academy and Moving Image Arts, following which she completed a HND in Television at Edinburgh College, with previous experience in Administration at Clockwise Edinburgh Leith amongst others before joining SEE.

Richard Bodsworth

Facilities Coordinator

Expand

Our Facilities Coordinator, Richard oversees SEE's filmmaking equipment, edit suites, rooms and resources, including technical support to all staff and learners, media management, bookings, rentals and hire. After completing an HND in Television at Edinburgh College, Richard worked as Film & Marketing Executive at Film Edinburgh, helping facilitate a variety of productions including corporates, feature films and HETV.

Sean Young

Skills & Qualifications Officer

Our Skills & Qualifications Officer, Sean's responsible for curriculum design, and delivery of key programmes including BFI Film Academy, Set the Scene and bespoke partnership projects. He delivers and assesses Arts Award, SQA and BFI/Screen Skills Preparing to Work in the Film Industry qualifications, also acting as an internal moderator for the BFI supporting film orgs across the UK. Sean holds a BA (Hons) Photography, Film and Television from Edinburgh Napier University.

Nichola Waygood

Finance Manager

Our Finance Manager, Nichola is responsible for overseeing all financial processes and controls of SEE, financial reporting and payroll. Nichola also works at Edinburgh Art Festival and Stills Gallery, with previous experience at a number of organisations including the Fruitmarket Gallery, PACE, Scottish Poetry Library, Vision Mechanics and Out of the Blue Arts and Education Trust.

Kaitlyn Roper

Project Coordinator

Programme Coordinator for our Edinburgh City Film Education Programme, which includes Set the Scene: Filmmaking for Educators, Kaitlyn started her journey with SEE in 2015 on the BFI Film Academy Edinburgh programme, going on to be involved with SEE Youth, Write Shoot Cut and the FANS Youth Film Festival amongst other SEE programmes. Kaitlyn holds a BA (Hons) in Film from Edinburgh Napier University.

Brian Robinson

Film Tutor

One of our Film Tutors, Brian develops learners on our Moving Image Arts AS level course, as well as delivery on our BFI Film Academy and Set the Scene programmes. From Edinburgh Napier University, Brian holds a BA (Hons) Photography, Film and Television, and an MA Screenwriting at Screen Academy Scotland.

Laura Findlay

Project Manager

Currently on maternity leave, as a Project Manager at SEE, Laura oversees the Edinburgh City Film Education Programme and the Edinburgh and Lothians Schools Film Competition. Previously, Laura worked as a lecturer in English and Film Studies at the University of Dundee, as well as an independent researcher and writer, and Project Coordintaor for Sistema Scotland. From Dundee University Laura holds an MA (Hons) English, MLitt in Writing Culture and PhD in Traumatic Expression in Sound, Word, and Image.

Jenny Souter

Film Tutor

A documentary film tutor at SEE, Jenny is part of the team delivering our In the Frame programme. During her career in film, she has worked in a variety of departments ranging from camera to editorial. Her production experience includes roles on Fast and Furious 9, Hobbes and Shaw, and The Lost King. Her documentary work includes Poly Styrene: I Am a Cliché (assistant editor) and Year of the Dog (editor). Jennifer holds a BA (Hons) in Time Based Art & Digital Film from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design.

Sharon Sorensen

Film Tutor

One of our Film Tutors, Sharon oversees development of learners in animation. Her previous experience includes working in both the creative and production sides of the industry for clients including Walt Disney Films, the BBC, Paramount Comedy, MTV and Channel 4. As an experienced Moving Image Educator and workshop leader for all ages, she has a specialism in animation, and developing those living with learning disabilities. Sharon holds a BA (Hons) Visual Communication - Animation from Edinburgh College of Art.
