We are pleased to announce notes of interest are now open for the Edinburgh Napier University Postgraduate Certificate in Film and Screen Professional Practice 2026/27 delivered in partnership with Screen Education Edinburgh.

This Screen Scotland funded programme is open to GTCS registered teachers based in Scotland, teaching in Scottish schools. Beginning in September 2026 until June 2027, delivery sessions will take place two evenings per week, alongside occasional weekend activities.

The programme consists of four modules at SCQF Level 11. Two modules, Filmmaking in the Classroom and Film and Screen Education in Practice, are delivered by Screen Education Edinburgh.

The remaining units are delivered by Edinburgh Napier University’s Screen Academy Scotland through Screenwriting Workshop and Creative Practice for Film and Television.

Successful completion of the full programme provides 80 credits in practical filmmaking, awarded by Edinburgh Napier University, and supports application to GTCS for second subject registration in Film and Screen.
