Graham Fitzpatrick

Development Officer

Expand

Graham's responsible for the management of SEE including staff, funding, org development, programme development, the org's productions, and stakeholder engagement. First joining our previous incarnation Pilton Video as a YTS trainee in the early 90's, he has accrued considerable experience in filmmaking, talent development, and film education, and delivered a wide slate of short film, documentaries, TV programmes and client productions. As a filmmaker Graham’s work has screened worldwide, winning film festival, and BAFTA Scotland awards, and he holds a PG Cert with distinction in Screenwriting from Screen Academy Scotland.

Jo Johnstone

Administrator

As SEE's Administrator, Jo's responsible for supporting the SEE team, learners, partners, and members of the public, overseeing administration of the org. Jo previously participated in several of our programmes as a young learner, including BFI Film Academy and Moving Image Arts, following which she completed a HND in Television at Edinburgh College, with previous experience in Administration at Clockwise Edinburgh Leith amongst others before joining SEE.

Sean Young

Skills & Qualifications Officer

Our Skills & Qualifications Officer, Sean's responsible for curriculum design, and delivery of key programmes including BFI Film Academy, Screen Progression Programme, and bespoke partnership projects. He delivers and assesses Arts Award, SQA, and BFI/Screen Skills Preparing to Work in the Film Industry qualifications, also acting as an internal moderator for the BFI supporting film learning orgs across the UK. Sean holds a BA (Hons) Photography, Film and Television from Edinburgh Napier University.

Laura Hofmans

Fundraising Manager

As SEE’s Fundraising Manager, Laura's responsible for seeking out new philanthropic routes for funding, with a focus on increasing income though philanthropic donors, and trusts and foundations. Laura previously worked in the Traverse Theatre's development team, alongside freelance work in fundraising, translating, and producing. Also part of Creative Edinburgh’s Steering Group, Laura holds a BA (Hons) in Drama and Performance, an MA in Arts, Cultural and Festival Management from Queen Margaret University and attended the National Arts Fundraising School.

Laura Findlay

Project Manager

As Project Manager at SEE, Laura oversees our Set the Scene programme and the Edinburgh and Lothians Schools Film Competition. Previously, Laura worked as a lecturer in English and Film Studies at the University of Dundee, as well as an independent researcher and writer, and Project Coordintaor for Sistema Scotland. From Dundee University Laura holds an MA (Hons) English, MLitt in Writing Culture and PhD in Traumatic Expression in Sound, Word, and Image.

Nichola Waygood

Finance Manager

Our Finance Manager, Nichola's responsible for overseeing all financial processes and controls of SEE, finance reporting, and payroll. Nichola also works at Edinburgh Art Festival and Ingleby Gallery, with previous experience at a number of organisations including the Fruitmarket Gallery, Stills Gallery, PACE, Scottish Poetry Library, Vision Mechanics and Out of the Blue Arts and Education Trust.

Brian Robinson

Film Tutor

One of our Film Tutors, Brian develops teachers and pupils on our Set the Scene programme, as well as delivery on our BFI Film Academy programmes. From Edinburgh Napier University, Brian holds a BA (Hons) Photography, Film and Television, and an MA Screenwriting at Screen Academy Scotland.

Richard Bodsworth

Facilities Coordinator

Our Facilities Coordinator, Richard oversees SEE's filmmaking equipment and resources, including technical support to all staff and learners, media management, bookings, rentals and hire. After completing an HND in Television at Edinburgh College, Richard worked as Film & Marketing Executive at Film Edinburgh, helping facilitate a variety of productions including corporates, feature films and HETV.
