Mark Edwards

One of our Film Tutors, whilst still studying for his HND Media production qualification Mark made a short documentary about rural homelessness in his hometown of Banbury, England. The documentary went on to win a national award, and was entered into the National Curriculum for secondary schools in England as a teaching resource. After a few years working in the industry, Mark gained a Certificate of Education in Post-Compulsory Education. He has taught production based vocational learning and academic media and film studies at Further Education colleges in Oxfordshire for the last nineteen years.

BFI Film Academy Craft Skills

On our BFI Film Academy Craft Skills Residential course, learners receive intensive learning in screenwriting, cinematography, sound, directing, production and editing, engage in industry masterclasses, and produce a short film. Applications for the summer 2023 course are now closed.
