Applications open for our new Community Filmmaking Programme

Applications are now open for our new Community Filmmaking Programme, which is open to people aged 18 and over (with no upper age limit) who are living in North and Southeast Edinburgh.

The programme will be running from March to June 2024, and is a great opportunity for local people to learn about filmmaking and make their own short film in their communities.

The Community Filmmaking Programme is FREE to take part in and no previous experience is necessary to apply.

BFI Film Academy Craft Skills

On our BFI Film Academy Craft Skills Residential course, learners receive intensive learning in screenwriting, cinematography, sound, directing, production and editing, engage in industry masterclasses, and produce a short film. Applications for the summer 2023 course are now closed.
