Marie is an experienced aerial dance performer and facilitator and holds an MA in Screen Dance. Her practice rooted in accessibility, she’s committed to creating opportunities for young people, disabled participants, and those in socio-economic disadvantaged areas, delivering in communities and schools, on programmes such as ‘Like Flying’ with National Theatre of Scotland and Createability with All or nothing Aerial Dance Theatre.

Marie is also a founder of grassroots collaborative Fanny Riot, and co-creator of the FLAPS project - sexual and emotional welfare support services for nightlife and music festivals.

Growing up in North Edinburgh, Marie’s first arts opportunities were in the community, including being one of the youth participants that co-created Pilton Video’s ‘Old Enough to Know Better’ documentary focused on school pupils going on strike against the Iraq War.
