Foundation Apprenticeship Delivered here at SEE for senior phase pupils from Edinburgh High Schools, The Foundation Apprenticeship in Creative and Digital Media level 6 offers a practical, work‑based pathway towards creative careers, giving learners the chance to develop industry focused skills while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. The programme blends structured learning with hands‑on experience, supporting progression towards further study or employment. Through the exploration of film and TV production and content creation, learners build essential creative, technical and employability skills through workshops, guided projects, and industry informed sessions. Developing their creative voice and portfolio throughout, learners are guided by experienced SEE Film Tutors and qualified assessors to produce and refine work that supports applications towards their next stage of development. The Foundation Apprenticeship comprises eleven units: four National Progression Award units, six SVQ work‑based units and one Media Project unit. Together, these carry sixty‑five SCQF credit points, forming a substantial and well‑recognised qualification within the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework.
