Applications Open for our Screen Progression Programme 2023

We are delighted to announce that  we are now accepting applications to our new Screen Progression Programme  for 2023.

The Screen Progression Programme is a national initiative managed by Screen Education Edinburgh and funded by Screen Scotland. Learners of this programme will be developed in the different Film and TV crafts, while working towards an SQA National Progression Award (NPA) in Film & Media Level 6. All participants will learn about entry level roles, and the opportunities that exist for progressing into one of Scotland’s fastest growing areas of employment.

The course will take place two evenings per week at SEE and is free to take part in.

Anyone aged 16 plus in Edinburgh and the Lothians can apply, with no upper age limit.

BFI Film Academy Craft Skills

On our BFI Film Academy Craft Skills Residential course, learners receive intensive learning in screenwriting, cinematography, sound, directing, production and editing, engage in industry masterclasses, and produce a short film. Applications for the summer 2023 course are now closed.
