Our archive films will be shown as part of an exhibition at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery from the 25th of November 2025 until April 2026.  Inspired by ‘Resistance | How protest shaped Britain and photography shaped protest’ (21 June 2025 – 4 January 2026, Modern Two), North Edinburgh Arts’ Art For Grown Ups project and Royston Wardieburn Community Centre’s Arts and Culture Group collaborated through a series of creative workshops reflecting on North Edinburgh’s long history of activism, campaigning, occupations and community solidarity to create the exhibition ‘Solidarity Wins: Creative Resistance in North Edinburgh’.

Screen Education Edinburgh began its life as Pilton Video in 1981 and used video as a form of political activism throughout its history. The organisation has documented many political campaigns from North Edinburgh over the past 45 years, which we are proud to showcase as part of this exhibition alongside the work of the other organisations.

We hope to see you on the 25th of November!
