Through the Lens School Learners Develop Stories and Skills for Upcoming Films Through the Lens learners at Castlebrae, Craigroyston, and Wester Hailes High Schools have been busy building their filmmaking skills ahead of their upcoming shoots. At Wester Hailes, pupils have been excitedly planning their alien invasion short films, and Castlebrae pupils are in the final stages of preproduction ahead of their short film, Queen, which focuses on themes of bullying and self-acceptance.As well as preparing for their shoots, they have also been working towards their Arts Award qualifications and developing their storytelling, teamwork, and technical skills through hands-on exercises. Across all three schools, learners are given the chance to express their creativity, as well as taking on roles from scriptwriting and directing to camera operation and editing.
